My brother decided to design some decks for his senior show (Final exam if you will)...i cant really give a good description so i asked my brother to give me one:
"To find ones Identify is an important aspect of being human. Often people assimilate into different social groups in an effort to “find themselves”. Essentially this project seeks to confront the fundamental issues of how individuals find their own identity by looking to indigenous cultures and investigating how they find personal identity. One example of how other cultures find identity is through the concept of a “spirit animal”. Therefore by creating a series of fives skateboards that are designed as if they were made by the animals themselves, we can consider what makes up our own identity and also appreciate how people in other cultures go about finding themselves."

ML866 is a new type of aircraft that the United States FAA has recently accepted the type of certification application for.With its 64 meters long and 36 meters wide, this aircraft has a top speed of 138 mph with range of more than 3000 miles It boasts some unique properties for a craft of its size including the ability to hover, take-off and land vertically, complete autonomy from airports, etc.
The 5000ft square cabin area also opens up a range of possible applications for the aircraft, from cargo transport and mining to use as a luxurious private sky yacht or a fully functional conference center.
"The Aeroscraft will be type certified as a new type of aircraft. This is a monumental step forward in the aerospace industry. It is a new dimension of flight – an aircraft that utilizes adjustable buoyant and dynamic lift, creating unique capabilities beyond what is available from any other air platform today," said Aeros president and CEO Igor Pasternak. "This is a significant milestone in an overall Aeroscraft development program. I am absolutely confident in the project's successful completion."

The iREAL mobility device concept is one of the new designs for Toyota from Tokyo Design Research. It has three wheels, one of them that can extend either up or down going with the speed, perimeter monitor sensors which warn the driver to prevent collisions or objects from interfering, with a vibration noise alert. It is still unknown whether or not this will stay a concept of actually hit the mobility market.

Bahaha!
When property manager Ryan Froerer got a call from a realtor to check on a townhouse, he knew something was up. "It was the sickest thing I've ever seen. Just unimaginable that someone could live in that." He couldn't even open the front door. It was blocked from inside. As he finally entered the house, he found about 70,000 empty beer cans. Inside, he took just a few snapshots to document the scene. Beer cans by the tens of thousands. Mountains of cans burying the furniture. Froerer e-mailed his photos to a couple of friends, who sent them to friends, and so the news spread through the internet. The water and heat were shut off, apparently on purpose by the tenant, who evidently drank Coors Light beer exclusively for the eight years he lived there. "It's just unbelievable that a human being could live like that", said Froerer. To all outward appearances, the person who lived in the townhouse was the perfect tenant. He always paid on time and he never complained. He kept a low profile in the neighborhood. The cans were finally recycled for 800 dollars, an estimated 70,000 cans: 24 beers a day for 8 years.

Banned Absolut ad
So here’s an ad that ran last month in Mexio, created by Teran/TBWA for Absolut Vodka. The map shows Mexico’s borders before The American-Mexican war of 1846-1848. The war started when Mexico had the cojones to not recognize the U.S. annexation of Texas. “Annex” is a historical term for “we wanted it, so we took it.” It’s been a sore spot with Mexico ever since, as invading someone’s land and claiming it as your own usually tends to be. I think its pretty funny.

EB gave a great interview at itsartmag.com where he explains his inspiration for the film:
“I first heard about a 14-year-old girl who was a blood cancer patient from one of my friends over in Asia. After 4 years of life in a hospital she stopped treatment and I was deeply moved by the girl’s courage.I began to research children who are in the same situation as her and one day I read the story of Josie Grove in the newspaper. Josie was 16-years old and had been a leukemia patient for many years. She had two bone marrow transplants and a course of anti-cancer drugs, all of which were unsuccessful in beating Josie’s cancer. When Josie was told that her condition was terminal she decided not to undertake any further treatment and went home to reunite with her family and enjoy a normal teenage life for her last 3 months. Not only because of similarity of two stories, but also the courage of these two different young individuals, I was inspired to create something that would capture such a spirit.”

Touchless Remote
Here’s a pretty cool B&O TV remote concept by Joris van Gelder. You can use it without actually having to touch it. The second you turn on the TV the remote lifts itself up. Changing the volume is then done simply by changing the tilt angle of the remote. Changing the channels is done by moving your finger through the cavity in the remote. Smooth design. Now fat chicks can eat as many Bon Bon's as they want without getting the remote messy!
